BuildingWorks from Integro Construction Software is an integrated construction software platform designed for general builders, property developers, house builders and designers. It comprises two modules, one for estimating and the other for CAD design. Subscriptions are available for both the combined Design & Estimate and individual modules. The estimating tool calls on a library of over 15,000 data-rich BIM products and approximately 5000 rates to generate live costs for materials, rates and energy performance. As well as a full cost breakdown, it provides Bill of Quantities (NRM), a customer quote, management reports and schedules. There is no other software platform of its kind for this market.

A 30-day fully featured, no-obligation trial is available to test the software’s user-friendliness. The cost of a project can be built up in minutes. The user selects what they’re building, inputs their dimensions into simple graphics, and watches the cost immediately calculating on the screen. The software is ideally suited to new builds, but also extensions, conversions and refurbishments.

Value for money
There are three versions of the estimating module - Estimate, Estimate Professional and Estimate Professional QS. All are available on subscription for 12 months and 24 months either pre-paid with a discount or on a monthly payment plan. The most popular option is Estimate Professional at £29+VAT per user which includes all features apart from Bill of Quantity reports.

Customer Support
Subscription includes dedicated support team champions from 9-5 via phone, instant chat, email and remote log-in, plus an online Help desk with video tutorials and more. Users also receive a coaching session at the outset. There is ongoing maintenance to the platform with bugs fixed as and when they occur. Response time to customer requests for help is fast, and monitored closely.

BuildingWorks is geared for the general builder, property developer and house builder. Yes, it is simple to use but the tools are sophisticated enough to handle complex projects. So if you are tendering to win a project you will have automatically produced quotes or NRM (SMM7 style Bill of Quantities) tender documents. If, as a general builder you require a cost estimate and quotation, the software provides that too. Either way it will give you multiple reports for assessing the feasibility of the project, as well as the subsequent management of it.

The software does all the calculating
The software itemises the materials (updated quarterly), labour and plant required to construct the project. All the costed rates data is built into BuildingWorks. There are no databases or complex formulae for you to enter into data sheets.
Intelligent BIM products
BuildingWorks comes ready to go with approximately 15000 priced BIM products readily available in the UK. Many of the software’s competitor solutions include products available only outside of the UK. There’s also the flexibility to edit the materials library and create new custom rates in addition to the 5000 rates the software includes.
Real-time decision-making
Each object has rich manufacturer product data including size, appearance, waste and thermal properties so the user can swap products in and out of the estimate to compare how they impact budget, or the U-or thermal value. No other remotely similar software provides users with the opportunity to review decisions and then make changes, in real time.

Instant client quotes and reports
As well as the cost breakdown the software automatically provides a number of reports including cost reports, material schedules, profit and cashflow forecasts. With spreadsheet style grid and pivot table reports for data mining the user can quickly where the money is going and how to optimise profits.
Bill of Quantity Reports
The reports arrive instantly and directly from the estimate. They include Elemental Bill of Quantities (BOQ) (NRM - the replacement for SMM7), Work Section BOQ, priced or unpriced, with manufacturer brands named or unbranded. Please note - this feature is only available with the BuildingWorks Estimate Professional QS module.

Live calculations as you draw
When the Estimate Module is combined with the Design Module, the plan is estimated instantly from the drawing data. As you draw your walls, a 3D model is automatically created (textured, solid or wireframe). 2D elevations are created straight from the plan. Plans can be traced as well.
Seamless integration
By combining the design with the estimating, there is no loss of data integrity or mistakes. The information is added only the once. Please note - the BuildingWorks Estimate module user requires a subscription to the BuildingWorks Design Module for this dynamic feature to work.
