EstimatorXpress exclusively features Price Tracker+™. Price Tracker+™ connects your software to thousands of live material prices. These prices are regularly reviewed by the HBXL team who check prices at builders’ merchants across the UK. Crucially, HBXL software is not restricted to one specific builders’ merchant. Users can download their trade discounts from certain merchants (see company’s website for the builders’ merchants this currently applies to). You can also set your own rates for trades and plant hire.

EstimatorXpress features calculators which add wastage, inflation and profit onto your estimates. These are set to default percentages when you first install the software but can be adjusted to suit your business needs. Although inflation is automatically calculated, you can decide whether to add it onto the written customer quotation or not. Choose whether to present your customer with the inflated “job start date” cost or the “estimate date” cost.

The ability to sync your job data with multiple software tools means you can avoid repetitive data entry and reduce the time you spend doing business admin. X-Connex technology, created by HBXL, enables you to share the data from your EstimatorXpress estimate file with health and safety, building contract and project management software. In addition, a drawing designed from scratch in HBXL’s CAD software, PlansXpress, can be imported into EstimatorXpress, which then creates an automatic estimate from your traced plan.

Above and beyond its estimating toolset, EstimatorXpress provides you with a range of powerful project management tools. In addition to 80 instantly produced management reports, EstimatorXpress automatically generates a build programme using the labour calculations from the estimate. The Gantt Chart sets out the project by build phase. If any delays occur during a particular build phase, the delay cascades through all subsequent build phases.
